Germany coach Julian Nagelsmann said his team played well and created chances but failed to score as they lost to France in the third-place play-off of the UEFA Nations League.
The “Iron Eagles” finished only 4th in the 2024/25 UEFA Nations League after losing 0-2 at home to France in the 3rd place play-off on Sunday.

“Of course fit players increase the likelihood of playing a good World Cup,” Nagelsmann said.
Anything but first place in the World Cup qualifying group featuring Slovakia, Northern Ireland and Luxembourg would be a major surprise.
